About Federal Project Bid
This project involves renovating approximately 27,180 square feet of warehouse and administrative space, including training rooms, conference rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, and offices.
The scope includes selective demolition of exterior and interior walls, reframing for updated layouts, relocating the building’s plumbing core, installing new HVAC systems, repairing the existing wet fire suppression system, upgrading the fire alarm and detection systems, installing new TPO roofing, repairing or replacing metal siding, replacing exterior doors, and repainting or repointing exterior masonry. The new design will feature an open floor plan to accommodate the Supply Warehouse, Base Supply Administration, and Boeing’s Supply Office.
Our Client’s Challenge for Federal Bid
Federal renovation projects are highly detailed and this one required strict compliance with the bid form including bid breakdowns by multiple scopes, alternates, and upcoming addenda. With evolving design information and shifting requirements, the contractor needed repeated updates to quantities and trade based pricing to stay bid ready.
Our Approach And Solution facilitating Public works contractor
For this federal renovation bid, we supported our client with a complete, trade-by-trade estimate aligned with DoD requirements. We completed detailed quantity takeoffs, confirmed scope against drawings and specifications, and structured pricing to match the required bid form including the Base Bid, Unit Prices, and Alternates.
As addenda and clarifications were issued, we kept the estimate updated in real time and coordinated closely on RFIs to ensure full scope coverage. Our schedule remained aligned with the bid deadline, giving the contractor time to review numbers, refine strategy, and finalize pricing with confidence.
We delivered accurate quantities, current market material pricing, and a clear labor breakdown by hours and wage rates along with responsive support through the final proposal helping our client stay competitive and fully compliant on bid day.
What the Federal Bidder says?
We have an in-house estimating team, but the level of detail required for each trade on this project was more than we could realistically produce within the bid schedule. Bringing this team on board relieved that pressure, they took on the full quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimating, while our estimator focused on subcontractor coverage, comparison, and final bid strategy. With their support, we stayed competitive and submitted a complete, accurate proposal on time.
